Terms and refunds
Last updated November 1, 2026
We wrote these in plain language. By using Atlas Conquest or buying an unlock, you agree to them.
What you get when you buy
- One-time purchase. There is no subscription and nothing renews. You pay once and keep what you bought for as long as Atlas Conquest runs, including new regions we add.
- Explorer ($5) is for one student, on up to 5 of their own devices.
- Teacher ($15) is for one teacher and the students in the classes that teacher teaches. Share your class code with your students, but please don't post it publicly.
- School licenses follow the quote or invoice we agree on with your school.
- If a code is posted publicly or used far beyond what it was bought for, we may reset it. If that happens to your code, we'll send you a new one.
Refunds
If Atlas Conquest isn't right for you, email [email protected] within 30 days of buying and we'll refund you in full. You don't need to give a reason. The refund goes back to the card you paid with, and the code stops working.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We only receive your name, email address and what you bought, so we can send your code.
Profiles and sign-in
- Players under 13 get a made-up name and a secret sign-in code. Anyone with that code can open the profile, so keep it somewhere safe.
- Players 13 and older can sign in with an email and password, or with Google.
- To delete a profile and its data, email us from the account's email address, or send us the sign-in code.
- Our student privacy page explains what we collect and why.
Fair play
Leaderboards are for real play. Please don't use scripts, bots or other tricks to post scores. We may remove scores, hide names or reset a code that is used to cheat or to bother other players.
Our content
The maps, questions, artwork and code on Atlas Conquest belong to us. Teachers may use them with their own students, including printing the printables that come with their unlock. Please don't copy, resell or re-host them. The historic flag images are public domain and come from Wikimedia Commons.
Keeping the site running
We work hard to keep Atlas Conquest working, but it's provided as it is, and it may sometimes be down or have mistakes. We may change, add or remove features over time. If we ever shut the site down for good, we'll post a notice at least 60 days ahead and make sure Teacher buyers have offline copies of the maps.
As far as the law allows, our total responsibility for any problem is limited to what you paid us.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters for buyers, we'll also note it on the pricing page.
