Student privacy

Atlas Conquest is built so students can play without giving us anything about themselves.

  • Students don't need an account. They can play without one, and they unlock the extra modes with their teacher's class code.
  • Players under 13 who want a profile get a made-up name and a secret sign-in code. We never ask them for a real name, email address or birthday.
  • Players 13 and older can make an account with an email and password, or with Google. We use the email only to sign them in, reset their password and send codes they buy. We store a scrambled (hashed) password, never the password itself.
  • Leaderboards use made-up names that students pick from a list (like “Swift Falcon 27”). Students can't type a name, so real names never end up on a board. We store the made-up name, the score and the random device number.
  • No ads and no ad trackers.
  • Game progress is saved in the browser. If the player has a profile, it is also saved to that profile so it follows them to other devices. Signing out removes it from the shared device.
  • When a class code is entered, we record the date, a random device number and the approximate state or country of the school network, so we can spot a code being shared. We never store IP addresses.
  • Teacher purchases are handled by our payment provider. We only see the teacher's name and email.
